Stutter Stars (formerly Fluency Friends) is a video game aimed at children with stutters. Using state of the art speech recognition software, the game aims to be provide players with the necessary tools to overcome their vocal hurdles and guide them on their path to fluency.

The story follows Zumi, a lively horse who loves to play the guitar and sing. One day, on his way to a concert, he is attacked by Mutus, an evil sorcerer who steals his voice. Left confused and stranded on an island, Zumi meets Mooki, a Zen Master, who teaches him how to use his voice again. After getting the basics down, Zumi travels to other islands, where he makes more friends who help him get his voice back. Each island teaches a unique speech technique: controlling the vocal cords, changing the rate of speech, working on speech timing, flexing your pitch range, tapping into speech rhythm, and speaking under pressure.

For these diverse scenarios, the music had to adapt accordingly, challenging me to write in different styles, from meditative New Age over Surf Rock to orchestral film scoring.
